Caitlyn Jenner to Pose Nude for Sports Illustrated: Reports

Caitlyn Jenner, the Olympic athlete formerly known as Bruce Jenner, graduated from Newtown High School in 1968.

Last summer Caitlyn Jenner revealed a new look and name on the cover of magazines across America. This summer Jenner will be revealing a lot more.

The former Olympic gold medalist-turned-reality star-turned woman is going to pose nude on the cover of Sports Illustrated wearing nothing but Old Glory and a gold medal, reported US Weekly.

Caitlyn Jenner, born William Bruce Jenner on October 28, 1949, in Mount Kisco, New York, attended Sleepy Hollow High School for freshman and sophomore years and Newtown High School for junior and senior years. She graduated in 1968. Newtown High School's football field was named Bruce Jenner, however it has since been renamed "Blue & Gold Stadium."

Newtown High School removed Jenner's name from the stadium in 2010 after officials felt slighted when Jenner refused their request to help fund its renovation after numerous calls and letters went unanswered, according to The News Times.

Jenner, now 66, won the decathlon in record fashion in 1976. This summer is the 40th anniversary.

It will be the first time Jenner has posed with the medal since the big change. The medal had been kept at the bottom of a makeup drawer, according to last year's famous Vanity Fair article.

The decision to pose nude comes while the discussion regarding transgenders and the bathrooms they are allowed to use is at a fever pitch. Donald Trump recently came out in defense of the transgender community regarding the subject, and the presumed GOP presidential candidate even recently allowed Jenner to use the woman's bathroom at Trump Tower.

As expected, reaction to Jenner's reported Sports Illustrated cover on social media was mixed.

On one hand, many view Jenner as a beacon of strength and courage for the LGBT community and women in general. On the other hand, Jenner's ubiquitous media presence has soured many who think perhaps the gender change was a ploy.
