The deal was observed by plainclothes officers, according to police.

TRUMBULL, CT — Two men were arrested after a crack cocaine sale at the Trumbull mall, according to police.
Officers observed a suspected drug transaction in the food court Friday afternoon. Two plainclothes officers were working at the mall on an unrelated case and observed the alleged sale. They alerted patrol officers who detained the suspects, said Lt. Keith Golding, police spokesman.
Kevin Gordon, 57, of Newtown threw a small bag into a planter as police got close to him, Golding said. The bag was recovered and determined to be crack cocaine.
