Newtown Man Charged with Violating a Protective Order

Milford police say the man wasn't supposed to have any contact with the victim.

MILFORD, CT - A Newtown man is accused of violating a protective order and was released after posting a $10,000 bond, Milford police said.

On May 7, police took custody of Robert Bergeron, 28, of Hyvue Drive, in regards to an active arrest warrant.

Bergeron is is accused of violating a court set protective order by contacting an individual, who holds a full no-contact protective order against him via the telephone in April 2016, police said.
