Newtown Man Exposed Himself At Beach In Fairfield: Police

The suspect, who police say had several previous incidents of public indecency in other towns, was arrested on a warrant.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A Newtown man has been charged with exposing himself several times, including in front of minors, at Jennings Beach in Fairfield last month. William J. Connelly, 61, turned himself in at the Fairfield Police Department on Tuesday.

Fairfield Police released photos on Sept. 26 of a man who was involved with several incidents involving public indecency at Jennings Beach. Connelly was identified as the suspect with the help of media outlets and the public, according to Lt. Robert Kalamaras.

Kalamaras said the identification led to a thorough investigation into Connelly, who had several previous incidents in other towns involving public indecency.
