Newtown Man Issued Warning After Car Hits Pole in Southbury

The man listed the Newtown Police Department as his home address.

Michael E. McGowan, 42, of 3 Main Street in Newtown, received a warning after he allegedly fell asleep while driving early Saturday on Main Street South in Southbury and hit a utility pole with his car, the Republican-American reports.

The Rep-Am reports that the car ended up on its side.

McGowan listed the Newtown Police Department as his address, the Rep-Am reports and an individual by that same name is a member of the Newtown Police Department according to the department’s staff listing.
