Newtown Residents Can Dispose of Household Hazardous Waste on Sept. 26

Newtown residents can throw away paints, stains, adhesives, furniture polish, metal cleaners, swimming pool chemicals and much more.

There will be a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day for residents of Bethel, Danbury, New Fairfield, Newtown, Redding and Ridgefield on Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Danbury Public Works Facility, 53 Newtown Road, Danbury, CT.

Residents can throw away paints, stains, adhesives, furniture polish, metal cleaners, swimming pool chemicals, fluorescent bulbs, pesticides and much more.

Some of the items that are not allowed include electronics, computers, VCRs, empty aerosol cans, smoke detectors, car batteries and more.
