Newtown Road Work: Oct. 6-10
Town crews will be working in various locations around town this week. Drivers should plan for detours and delays.

The Town of Newtown has announced road work to be done in the following areas for the week of Oct. 6-10:
- Various Roads: Roadside Mowing, On Going
- Various Roads: Pot Hole Patching, On Going
- Poverty Hollow Road: Bridge Replacement, 1 Month
- Fairfield Hills: Conduit Installation, 3 Weeks
- Swamp Road: Clean Ditch, 2 Weeks
- Birch Hill Road: Drainage, 4 Days
Upcoming road work is planned as follows:
- Sugarloaf Road Drainage: 3 Days
- Stony Brook Overlay: 1 Day
- George’s Hill Overlay & Replace Basin Tops: 1 Week
- Brennan Road Overlay & Replace Basin Tops: 1 Week
- Washington Square Pave Road Way: 2 Days
Drivers are urged to drive slowly and plan for extra travel time when driving in these areas.
