Newtown Underwater Search Team Recovers Car from Lake
SONAR picked up the car beneath 25 feet of water and partially buried in the mud.

NEWTOWN, CT — Volunteers from the Newtown Underwater Search and Rescue team recovered a submerged vehicle from Lake Lillinonah earlier this week.
While on a training exercise, SONAR in the NUSAR vessel picked up the car beneath 25 feet of water and partially buried in the mud. The car was recovered from the lake with the assistance of Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire and Rescue and the Newtown police.
No information on the ownership of the car has been released.
