PD: Intoxicated Driver Arrested in Newtown

A person called 911 to report an erratic driver, which eventually led to the arrest.

NEWTOWN, CT- A 911 call about an erratic driver led to DUI arrest in Newtown.

Police were called on March 1 around 9:30 p.m. about an erractic driver in a Chevrolet pickup truck. The caller said the vehicle couldn't maintain the lane and was all over the road.

Eventually the operator made his way to Berkshire Road where he was found driving the wrong way, police said.

James Russell, 48, of Milford was arrested and charged with DUI and traveling unreasonably fast.
