PD: Intoxicated Man Crashed in Newtown
The man crashed into a wire rope guard and fled the scene, police said.
A Waterbury man was arrested after he allegedly fled the scene of an accident while intoxicated.
Police got a call Jan. 23 about an erratic driver on South Main Street. The caller said the vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane and struck a wire rope guard before leaving the scene.
The caller followed the vehicle onto Bryan Lane and police responded.
