PD: Newtown DUI Driver Fought with Monroe Cops

The Newtown man was arrested in Monroe for DUI, but that wasn't the end of trouble for him.

Patrick Capozziello, 21, crashed his vehicle on Hattertown Road on Nov. 7, according to the News-Times.

He failed a field sobriety test and a breath test showed he had a BAC of .147, nearly twice the legal limit.

Capozziello allegedly became belligerent with police during his arrest and during the booking process. He allegedly threatened booking officers and climbed underneath a bench. He began to flail when officers approached him, according to police.

He was charged with DUI, failure to drive in a proper lane, driving while using a handheld device and interfering with police.
