He is not my current legislative representative, nor am I a Republican. Tony has been a tireless advocate for social responsibility, which is my bailiwick. He has a very sound barometer for where the government’s role is with respect to social services and where non-profits are better suited to fill the gaps for those among us that need support to live the best life possible.
It is also very important to me to have an alternate voice in the Senate as we lose John McKinney, also a Republican in that Chamber.

Democracy works best when discussions not mandates occur. And although I’d never cast my vote for just anyone to achieve a healthy mix in the House or Senate, I feel very fortunate to be able to caste my vote for Tony, my friend, and a true friend of those in need.
I take exception with any campaigning alluding that he is anti-education, social services, the environment, women, business and infrastructure. Nothing could be further from the truth. His record is easy to find, as are the numerous awards he has received for outstanding service from nearly all of these causes in our state. He is a beloved man of the people and has earned my personal and professional respect and vote.
I hope you’ll join me on November 4th with a vote for Tony Hwang.
