Hosted by the Niantic Lions Club, this juried show features displays from some of New England’s finest artists and crafters. More than just a celebration of creativity, this event is the Niantic Lions Club’s primary fundraiser, supporting a variety of charitable programs and community initiatives. Rocky Neck State Park

York Correctional Institution officers will conduct a coin drop fundraiser to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut athletes on Saturday, July 18th at the Rocky Neck Connector (outside of the entrance to the Rocky Neck State Park), from 7 am - 12 pm. During the event they'll be at the intersection to collect coins and cash to support Special Olympics' year-round sports, health, and fitness programs for athletes of all abilities.
About the Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics Connecticut
The Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics Connecticut is a year-round program and one of the movement's largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicles. Officers organize and host fundraisers that include but are not limited to Tip-a-Cop, Cop-on-Top and Penguin Plunge events, all to benefit local Special Olympics athletes.
A highlight of the program is the annual three-day Torch Run which takes place every June. During the Torch Run, officers from police departments and law enforcement agencies across the state run and carry the Special Olympics "Flame of Hope" more than 500 miles through their towns and cities to the site of the Special Olympics Connecticut Summer Games. 
Platinum Sponsors of the program are the Bearingstar Insurance Charitable Fund, the Connecticut Elks Association and Whelen Engineering.

Deans Mill Farm 

Built in the mid-1700s as a functioning livestock farm, Deans Mill Farm has gone through an evolution in recent decades. A full renovation of the historic buildings and rejuvenation of the surrounding 70+ acres has made the property into the incredible venue it is today. Deans Mill Farm now operates primarily as a private event space and five-room bed and breakfast tucked down a private road in Stonington, Connecticut. It shares its property with Dragonfly Equestrian Center and is home to dozens of horses. On the property lies meadows, hiking trails, beautiful fields and Dragonfly Disc Golf. The property can be rented for weddings, birthday parties and other special events. Additionally, the bed and breakfast can be rented by the room or reserved in its entirety for complete privacy. The Farm has the ability to host small private indoor events for up to 50 guests in the Farmhouse. Outdoor tented events are our specialty, with numerous locations on-site that are picturesque for your celebration. Outdoor tented celebrations can accommodate up to 250 guests.
