Multi-Agency Suppression Of Illegal Street Takeover Had North Haven Cops Seize Vehicles, Make Arrest (patch.com) — Regional police, including North Haven officers, teamed up to crack down on an unsanctioned "End of Summer Ride-Out" that drew hundreds of ATV and dirt bike riders across New Haven County, including North Haven. The joint task force made 11 arrests, seized 18 vehicles, and emphasized that dangerous street takeovers in and around North Haven will not be tolerated.

Fitness Center To Close In North Haven, Owners Announce 'Difficult Decision' (patch.com) — North Haven residents will soon lose a local workout option as Trax Training & Fitness prepares to close its Washington Avenue location on Oct. 1. Owners thanked members for their support, promised help with memberships and training packages, and directed questions to a local contact during the transition.

Food Truck Among 23 New Businesses Registered In North Haven In August (patch.com) — North Haven saw 23 new business registrations in August, highlighting a wave of local entrepreneurship that includes a new food truck, a bakery, and a livery service. Most of the ventures are organized as LLCs, and some may already be operating while others are still preparing to open.

Energy Assistance Season Starts Soon In North Haven: Here's What To Know (patch.com) — North Haven residents can soon schedule phone appointments for the Connecticut Energy Assistance Program through the town's Community Services office, with sign-up dates varying by heating source. The program, starting appointments in late September, helps income-eligible households with heating costs and requires residents to call during weekday business hours to see if they qualify.
