• Man Charged In Theft Of Vehicle In North Haven: Police (patch.com) — North Haven police say a New Jersey man has been charged in connection with an April 9 vehicle theft at a Washington Avenue gas station, after detectives used DNA and search warrants to secure arrest warrants. Officers traveled to New Jersey on September 1 to take the suspect into custody, and report that a second suspect has also been apprehended, though his identity is pending extradition.
   

• 11 arrested in New Haven street takeover crackdown, over a dozen vehicles seized, police say (ctpost.com) — North Haven police seized two vehicles and made one arrest while working with New Haven, West Haven, state police, and others to crack down on a large street takeover involving dirt bikes, ATVs, and cars. Officials say the coordinated operation, which led to 11 arrests and more than a dozen vehicles seized, is part of an ongoing regional task force effort to deter dangerous riding that can spill into North Haven streets.
