Social Media Tips Lead To Arrest Of Shoe Thief: North Haven PD

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A New Haven woman has been arrested for stealing more than $1,000 worth of shoes in North Haven thanks to several tips on social media, according to police. After posting the surveillance photo of the suspect on social media, police received several anonymous tips that led to the identification of Atavia Wilson, 39, of New Haven.

Wilson is accused of stealing more than $1,000 worth of items from DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse on Universal Drive on Aug. 30. She was arrested Oct. 29 on a warrant and charged with fourth-degree larceny.
