Teens Charged With Stealing Gun From Home: North Haven Police

Police said a 16-year-old boy stole the gun from a family member's safe and gave it to another teen.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Two teens have been arrested in connection with the theft of a gun from a North Haven home this past spring, according to police.

The homeowner reported his .40-caliber Glock handgun was missing from his gun safe. Following interviews of family members, detectives found that a juvenile in the home was involved in the theft, according to police.

Police said the homeowner’s son got into the gun safe and gave the gun to a friend. The friend then took the gun and gave it to a person he only knew by a street name for “future discounted rates on drug purchases,” according to police.
