Timeline of Nor’easter Impact to Connecticut Weather Today: Latest Update
It's going to be an interesting weather day as we'll see some snow rain, and gusty winds. We take an hour-by-hour look across the state.

A powerful nor’easter will hit Connecticut Thursday, and you’re going to need an umbrella as opposed to a snow shovel unless you live in the higher elevations of northern Connecticut. Everyone should see some snowflakes this morning before a quick changeover to rain for most of the state.
The only areas of the state under an advisory of any kind are Hartford and Tolland counties, which were issued a “Special Weather Statement” by the National Weather Service. In northeast Connecticut snow could accumulate 1-3 inches in higher-elevation spots. In the lower-elevation spots of Hartford and Tolland counties it’s possible you could see up to an inch of snow, according to the National Weather Service.
For the rest of the state we’ll see a heavy, raw rain and strong gusty winds Thursday and Thursday night, which could end as some snow tonight too.

NBC Connecticut meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan wrote, “No real change in the forecast... an impressive storm will develop but it will be unimpressive in our backyard. Some slushy accumulation in the hills but most of us won't get much of anything.” You can ready Ryan's updated weather blog on NBC Connecticut here.
