NORTH HAVEN, CT — Police are asking for help with identifying two women accused of stealing several bags of frozen shrimp, while also obtaining a $64 gift card, from Stop & Shop in North Haven. The incident occurred around 11 a.m. Monday when the women (pictured) entered the store and placed several bags of frozen shrimp in a store bag and attempted to return the items at the customer service desk for cash, according to police.

Since the women didn’t have a receipt for the shrimp, they were given a $64 gift card, according to police.

Police said after the women obtained the gift card, they left the store with the merchandise still inside the Stop & Shop bag. They were last seen leaving in a silver BMW X5, which had a Connecticut license plate that didn’t belong on the vehicle, according to police.
