Citizen Honored for Assisting Norwalk Marine Officers in Boat Rescue
A boater was knocked off his vessel into the waters off Norwalk Harbor, and Michael Golden helped marine police with the rescue.

NORWALK, CT — Michael Golden has been presented with with a Civilian Award by the Norwalk Police Commission for assisting the city's marine police with a September 10 boating rescue.
Golden was boating "when he observed Norwalk Marine Unit Officers rescuing Edward Brennan, who had been struggling to stay afloat after being knocked off his boat into Long Island Sound," according to police officials in a post on the department's Facebook page.
"Without hesitation Mr. Golden entered the water and assisted Officer Richard Delallo with swimming Mr. Brennan to Marine Unit vessel. The members of the Norwalk Department of Police Service thank Mr. Golden for his heroic actions on September 10, 2016."
