NY Man ID'd In Fatal Accident At SoNo Collection: Update
The construction accident at the new mall in South Norwalk occurred early Tuesday morning.

NORWALK, CT — The construction worker who was killed early Tuesday when he fell "from an elevated height" at The SoNo Collection mall has been identified, according to Norwalk police.
Lorgio Jimenez-Suarez, 52, of Astoria, NY, died at Norwalk Hospital following the fall, which occurred at about 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Details of the circumstances that led to the fall were not disclosed, but it occurred on the outside of the structure, writes The Hour.

The mall opened in October, but work inside and outside has been ongoing as more stores prepare to open. On Thursday, Bloomingdale's and H&M are scheduled to open.
"We are heart broken," a spokesperson for Brookfield Properties, owners of the new South Norwalk mall, told Patch in a statement. "Out of respect for the family during this difficult time, we will not be commenting further. We are providing assistance to the Norwalk Police Department with their developing investigation."

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration was notified about the accident and is investigating, according to police.
"Arriving officers rendered aid to the male, who was transported to the Norwalk Hospital by ambulance," said Norwalk Police Lt. Terrence Blake in a statement. "The male later succumbed to his injuries."
