Delay Pushes Back Potential Opening of The SoNo Collection

NORWALK, CT — The opening date for The SoNo Collection, the million-square-foot mall to be located on West Avenue in Norwalk, is being pushed back by about a year, reports The Hour.

General Growth Properties, the project's developer, had hoped to open in the fall of 2018, but it looks like it will not open until the fall of 2019, according to the publication.

The company still needs a building a permit before it can start excavation and construction, and that permit could be issued before the end of January, according to city building official William Ireland.
