Fentanyl, Cocaine Seized During Searches In Norwalk, Darien: Police
Police said officers seized approximately 15,000 bags of fentanyl, 300 grams of pure fentanyl, cocaine and more during recent searches.

NORWALK, CT — Officers seized approximately 15,000 bags of fentanyl, 300 grams of pure fentanyl, cocaine and more Monday during searches in Norwalk and Darien, according to Norwalk police.
In a news release, Police Lt. Tomasz Podgorski said three search warrants were executed Monday, two in Norwalk and one in Darien, by Norwalk, Darien and Stamford police, the Norwalk Emergency Services Unit Tactical Response Team, the U.S. Marshal's Service and the Bridgeport Office of the DEA.
Approximately 15,000 bags of fentanyl, 300 grams of pure fentanyl, cocaine, a firearm and $13,000 cash were seized as a result, according to Podgorski.

The searches were the result of a six-month investigation into fentanyl trafficking in the greater Norwalk area, Podgorski said.

According to Podgorski, 17 federal and state arrest warrants have been served in connection to the ongoing investigation to date.
