NORWALK, CT — Dozens attended Wednesday night's interfaith prayer vigil in front of Norwalk Police Department Headquarters, the latest in the department's ongoing series of outreach efforts to promote unity and peace throughout the community.
The below posts from the department's Facebook page illustrate the diversity and goodwill the event celebrated. The event was organized by veteran Officer Cesar Ramirez and was attended by Mayor Harry Rilling, Police Chief Thomas Kulhawik, local officials and members of various congregations and clergy, among others.
Over the past several weeks, the Norwalk Police Department has worked very hard to promote harmony in the community, holding several "Coffee with a Cop" gatherings, and even hosting "SoNo Day Out" this Saturday, Aug. 6, for families and residents.
