Lifetime Learners hosts League of Women Voters on Fri 9 22 OPEN HOUSE

Lifetime Learners OPEN HOUSE on Friday 9 22 23 at CT State Community College Norwalk (formerly NCC). Come and meet us - find out more about LLI. FREE!

Adults 50 and over are invited to attend a presentation by the League of Women Voters - Norwalk. Representatives from the League will be sharing valuable information with LLI members and guests.

Topics will include:

• Early voting (starting 2024),
• The John R. Lewis Voting Rights Act of Connecticut
• A brief intro to Ranked-Choice Voting
• Norwalk's upcoming Charter Revision ballot question
• How to avoid misinformation & disinformation at election time
• Encouraging young people to be involved in voting.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political membership organization which engages communities and individuals by promoting voting, and positive solutions to public policy issues through education and advocacy.

We will meet on the college's EAST Campus (188 Richards Ave.) in the FORUM and the area outside the FORUM. Free parking is available at the rear of the building. Look for us on the right as you enter the building. Check in and refreshments begins at 12:15. Program starts promptly at 1 pm. Attendees may bring a brown bag lunch if they desire. Dessert and coffee are available at no charge.

Fall classes are starting 9/18. There is still time to register for most classes. Some are held on campus and some others on Zoom. Plenty of opportunity for learning...but NO homework, NO tests and NO grades. There will be catalogs available to view on Friday.
