Westport Community Theatre

Suspense, intrigue, murder, and a touch of dark humor have come to the Westport Community Theatre stage with "Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play," now playing through October 4 at Westport Town Hall. Adapted for the stage by Fairfield playwright Joe Landry, Vintage Hitchcock transforms three early Alfred Hitchcock thrillers – The Lodger, Sabotage, and The 39 Steps – into a 1940s-style radio broadcast performed before a live audience. A mysterious killer stalks the streets of London. A devastating explosion sets a deadly plot in motion. And an innocent man finds himself pursued across Britain in a breathless chase. Rather than attempting to recreate Hitchcock’s films onstage, Vintage Hitchcock uses the imaginative possibilities of radio theatre to tell the stories in an entirely different way – through voices, music, sound effects, and the audience’s own imagination. The seven-member cast moves among multiple roles, voices, and characters as the three stories unfold, creating the world of Hitchcock with microphones, scripts, music, and an elaborate soundscape. Directed by Richard Mancini and stage managed by Patricia A. Berg, the production features Joan Barere, John Bachelder, Roger Dykeman, Linda Gilmore, Ann Kinner, Sam Mink, and Tom Rushen. The production also features an original musical score by composer and writer Paul Richard Keegan. Norwalk, CT – The Waypointe is excited to announce the Waypointe Trivia Challenge, a community-wide event taking place on Saturday, October 3rd from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Held at the vibrant Waypointe Retail Courtyard, located at 515 West Avenue, this free, family-friendly event invites residents, visitors, and neighbors to put their local knowledge to the test while supporting the businesses that make Waypointe home.
The Trivia Challenge features 16 local spots and 32 clever clues, challenging participants to guess the local favorites hidden behind each hint. Teams will make their way through clues spotlighting Waypointe tenants including Allora Coffee &amp; Bites, Kicksmith Studio, Elm Street Diner, Colony Grill, Chase, Smallcakes Cupcakery and Creamery, William Raveis, Ds Rugs Studio, Fresh Monkee, Women's Health Care of New England, Haruki, F45 Training, Amma's South Indian Cuisine, Salons by JC, and Daniel Dental Studio. Every business is part of the Waypointe community, and every clue is a chance to celebrate what makes this neighborhood special.
Participants who complete the challenge will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win prizes from the local businesses featured in the event. Bring a team, bring your curiosity, and see how well you really know Waypointe.

<h3>Overview</h3>
Immerse yourself in William Shakespeare’s timeless tales on a scenic stroll through Bristow Bird Sanctuary. Professional actors and musicians bring to life beloved scenes and songs inspired by Shakespeare’s greatest works. Visitors may encounter the romance of Romeo &amp; Juliet, the whimsy of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the magic of The Tempest, and the dark intrigue of Macbeth—complete with witches and sword fights—along with sonnets, madrigals, and more. Join us on a journey through nature and story.
Performance Details: This is an outdoor promenade-style experience where audience members are led down a walking path and encounter various Shakespearean vignettes. The total distance is less than a mile on a smooth gravel path with light gradation. The full experience is ADA accessible.
Groups of 15–20 will depart every 15 minutes from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM for a 45-50 minute traveling experience. Tickets Limited!
All ages welcome.

Join us on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, for an evening of recognition, connection, and community at HMTX in Norwalk — celebrating the leaders and teams who make room for everyone.
Now in its fourth year, the Inclusive Leadership Impact Awards (ILIA) brings together leaders, changemakers, and community members to honor the people building workplaces and communities where everyone belongs. The evening features the awards presentation alongside food, beverages, live music, and networking with a room full of leaders committed to inclusive impact.
This year's celebration recognizes six honorees across six categories:
<ul><li>Senator Bob Duff — Luminary Award</li><li>Natasha Agarwal — Visionary Voice Award</li><li>Breion Moses — Inclusive Leadership Business Impact Award</li><li>Dr. Isaac M. Adusu — Community Leader of the Year</li><li>KCSNY Home Delivered Meals Team — Community Team Award</li><li>Aditi Gaddam — Next Generation Inclusive Leader Award</li></ul>
Ten percent of ticket proceeds will support Women's Mentoring Network, a Connecticut nonprofit that empowers women through long-term mentoring, skills workshops, and educational support — continuing an ILIA tradition of giving back to a local community partner each year.
"Inclusive leadership isn't a slogan — it's the daily practice of making room for people, and this year's honorees live it,"said Simone Morris, Founder and CEO of Simone Morris Enterprises and creator of the ILIA Awards. "ILIA exists to recognize the leaders and teams doing that consistent, often quiet work, and to remind our community that when everyone belongs, everyone benefits."
