Norwalk Community College's Annual Spring Musical Opens April 19
Join us for NCC's performance of 'The Prom'
Norwalk Community College will be hosting its annual spring musical April 19 - 22. This year, students will be performing, The Prom, winner of the Drama Desk Award for Best Broadway Musical. The play revolves around four eccentric Broadway stars in desperate need of a new stage. When they hear trouble is brewing around a small-town prom, they know that it’s time to put a spotlight on the issue…and themselves! The town’s parents want to keep the high school dance on the straight and narrow—but when one student just wants to bring her girlfriend to prom, the entire town has a date with destiny. On a mission to transform lives, Broadway’s brassiest join forces with a courageous girl and the town’s citizens, and the result is love that brings them all together. The Prom has amazing music; it’s funny, touching, and has a powerful message of inclusivity!
The Prom will be performed in the David Levinson Theater on the East Campus at Norwalk Community College. Sponsored by the NCC Foundation, the Humanities Department and Student Activities, the production features 30+ NCC students onstage and behind the scenes! Music, Theater, Dance, and LGBTQ+ Clubs are providing concessions for the performances.
FREE PERFORMANCES ON: Wednesday, April 19th at 6:00PM; Thursday, April 20th at 7:00PM; Friday, April 21st at 7:00 PM; and Saturday, April 22nd at 1:00 PM. No reservation is needed.
