Murder Trial Of Former Norwalk Official Approaches; Jurors Being Selected: Report
A former Norwalk official stands accused of murdering her tenant.
NORWALK, CT — As the murder trial of Ellen Wink, the former Norwalk official accused of murdering her tenant, Kurt Lametta, in 2022, approaches, jurors are being selected, News 12 Connecticut reported.
Wink is a former election administrator and Republican deputy registrar, who also served as city clerk, who is accused of shooting Lametta multiple times during an altercation over rent.
The two are alleged to have had an ongoing dispute, which reportedly included several calls to police and Wink's arrest on a misdemeanor charge of unlawfully locking Lametta out of the rental home.

As of Tuesday, three of 12 jurors reportedly had been selected for the trial, which is scheduled to begin on June 3 at Stamford Superior Court. Additionally, four alternate jurors are also going to be chosen.
