Police: Man Fired Shots Into 500+ Person Norwalk Party

The man allegedly fired into a crowd of people at Cranbury Park Sunday.

It was all hands on deck for Norwalk Police after shots were reportedly fired into a crowd of more than 500 people at Cranbury Park Sunday.

Police got a call around 11:30 p.m. and all officers on shift responded, according to the Norwalk Hour. Several other departments also sent officers to handle the chaotic scene that contained several brawls.

A security guard named Craig Baldwin, 22 of Bridgeport allegedly fired into the crowd. He had a permit for his handgun.

Police believe he wasn’t firing in self-defense. Witnesses also reported another person fired a gun.
