Popular 90's Boy Band Booted From Norwalk Parking Lot: Report
A Norwalk store may not "cherish" this popular 90's boy band, but Senator Chris Murphy does.

NORWALK, CT — It seems a local Stop & Shop refused to give popular 90's boy band 98° "just one night" when their tour buses showed up in the store's Main Avenue parking lot Tuesday afternoon, the Norwalk Hour reported.
The band had parked their two huge black tour buses in the Main Avenue parking lot because the hotel they were staying at, ironically Hotel Zero Degrees, did not have room for them in their lot, according to the Norwalk Hour. A Westport woman told the paper she called the store after noticing the "nefarious" looking buses.
The group was in town for a show taking place Wednesday night at 8 p.m. at the Ridgefield Playhouse. According to the venue's website, the show is part of the group's "98˚at Christmas 2018 Tour." Tickets can be purchased here. (To sign up for Norwalk breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

The incident drew outrage from fans of the group on Twitter, among them Senator Chris Murphy, who said the incident was "unacceptable."
"Whenever 98 Degrees comes to Connecticut they should be treated like the kings they indisputably are," Murphy said in a tweet Tuesday afternoon. "I'm sorry Nick [Lachey]. Please come back soon."

The band appreciatively responded to Murphy's tweet later that night.
"We’re looking into getting less nefarious tour buses, if anyone can find us an upgrade more suited for four kings, please DM," the band said in a tweet. "[Chris Murphy], hope you can join us for afternoon tea in the royal dining hall backstage at tomorrow’s show."
For those unfamiliar with the group, 98° consists of brothers Nick and Drew Lachey, Justin Jeffre and Jeff Timmons. They are famous for hits such as "Because Of You," "I Do (Cherish You)," "Give Me Just One Night (Una Noche)" and "True To Your Heart," a collaboration with Stevie Wonder from the 1998 animated Disney film "Mulan."
Nick Lachey also starred in the popular MTV reality show "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica" with his then-wife Jessica Simpson. The two married in 2002 but divorced three years later shortly after the show concluded.
