Stash Of Cocaine, $8,000 Seized By Police In Norwalk Drug Raid

Brothers Giovanny Padilla and John Padilla were arrested on narcotics charges in connection with the raid.

NORWALK, CT — Two Norwalk brothers were arrested on narcotics charges Thursday during an early morning raid of their Monterey Place home, where police also seized cocaine and cash, according to authorities.

At about 6 a.m., members of the Norwalk Police Department Special Services Division raided the home of Giovanny Padilla,26, and John Padilla, 21, where officers seized:

  • Approximately 260 grams of powder cocaine
  • $8,000 in cash
  • A vehicle
  • Four cell phones
  • Computers
  • "Other electronics used to facilitate narcotics trafficking"

"A six-month-long investigation into the brothers' involvement in narcotics trafficking across the Greater Norwalk Area provided enough evidence to apply for a search warrant of their residence," Norwalk police said. "This investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are expected in the future in connection to this investigation."

Giovanny Padilla was charged with the following:

  • Possession of narcotics
  • Possession of narcotics within 1,500 ft of school/housing project
  • Possession of narcotics with intent to sell over one ounce
  • Possession with intent to sell within 1,500 feet
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to sell
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to sell
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia within 1,500 feet

John Padilla was charged with the following:

  • Possession of narcotics
  • Possession of narcotics within 1,500 ft of school/housing project
  • Possession of narcotics with intent to sell over one ounce
  • Possession with intent to sell within 1,500 feet

Both were released after posting bond on bail of $50,000, and they are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
