State Rep. Bruce Morris Sues Norwalk School System: Report
The potential mayoral candidate filed a discrimination lawsuit over losing his job with the school district.

NORWALK, CT — State Rep. Bruce Morris (D-140th), who has filed paperwork to challenge incumbent Mayor Harry Rilling, is suing the Norwalk Board of Education and the city on claims of discrimination over losing his job with the school district, reports the Norwalk Hour.
Morris was the district's climate officer until last summer, and prior to that he was human relations officer for more than 10 years. His lawsuit, which was filed in Stamford Superior Court, claims he was dismissed from the job based on race, retaliation and/or other factors.
Board of Education Chairman Michael Lyons, an attorney himself, told the publication that the school district believes the case is without merit, and it will "vigorously" defend itself.
