The defendant was originally convicted of sexual assault in 2007.

NORWICH, CT — A convicted sex offender from Norwich, who is facing probation violation charges from the past couple of years, recently pleaded not guilty in New London court, reports the Norwich Bulletin.

Thirty-two-year-old Tamir Dixon was convicted of sexual assault in 2007 and received a prison sentence and a lengthy probation.

That probation was revoked in 2015, but he has been arrested multiple times since for various charges, such as allegedly firing a gun at someone, failing to register as a sex offender and illegal marijuana use. He is due back in court on Dec. 19.
