Election 2016 Results: Norwich Vote Totals for President, U.S. Senate and Local Races
On Wednesday morning, full election results and numbers were released for all races that residents voted on.

NORWICH, CT — On Election Night, 55.31 percent of residents preferred Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump, Gary Johnson and Jill Stein.
According to the CT Secretary of State election center updated via 10 a.m. Wednesday, 7,453 residents voted for Clinton and 5,217 voted for Trump. Johnson additionally received 511 votes, while Stein received 282.
In the race for U.S. Senate, Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., amassed 6,789 as a Democratic candidate and 993 as a Working Families Party candidate.

Republican candidate Dan Carter meanwhile received 3,535 votes. The race was rounded out with 237 votes for Richard Lion and 188 votes for Jefferey Russell.
Democrat Joe Courtney crushed Republican candidate Daria Novak in the 2nd Congressional District race, with Courtney earning 9,227 votes on multiple lines. Novak amassed 3,016 votes, while Libertarian Daniel Reale received 236 votes and Green Party candidate Jonathan Pelto received 212.

In Norwich, incumbent Democratic candidate Catherine Osten beat out Republican candidate Barbara Richardson Crouch in the race for the 19th Senatorial District. Osten garnered 7,578 votes as a Democratic candidate and 945 votes as a Working Families Party candidate, while Crouch amassed 3,577 votes as a Republican candidate and 394 votes as an Independent candidate.
In the 46th State House District, Democrat Emmett D. Riley won re-election against Republican Rob Dempsky. Riley earned 3,135 votes as a Democratic candidate and 260 votes as a Working Families Party candidate, while Dempsky received 2,335 votes as a Republican candidate and 253 votes as an Independent candidate.
In the 47th State House District, Incumbent Republican Doug Dubitsky won out over Democrat Kate Donnelly. Dubitsky received 782 votes on multiple lines, while Donnelly received 723 votes on multiple lines.
Democrat Dianne M. Daniels received 7,116 votes and Republican Dianne Slopak received 4,977 votes for registrar of voters.
