Heroin, Crack, Other Drugs Seized During Norwich Raid: PD

Three people were arrested after heroin, crack, MDMA and other drugs were seized, police said.

NORWICH, CT — State, Norwich and Montville Police seized heroin, cocaine, crack and other drugs after a months long investigation into drug dealing, according to police.

Police conducted searches at a Boswell Avenue and Oakridge Street in Norwich July 12. They found and seized 27.4 grams of heroin, 22.4 grams of cocaine, 2.8 grams of crack cocaine packaged for sale, 13 Suboxone strips, 11 transdermal Fentanyl patches, 5 ecstasy pills and 47.6 grams of MDMA packaged for sale, according to State Police.

They also found $9,600 in cash and packaging materials.

David Matthews, 31, of Norwich was charged with possession of a hallucinogen with intent to sell, operating a drug factory and other drug-related charges.

Tony Strothers, 37, was charged with possession of crack cocaine and risk of injury to a minor and Crysta Wydra, 28, of Gales Ferry was charged with the same as Strothers.

Matthews was held on a $250,000 bond, Strothers was also held on bond and Wydra was released on a $20,000 bond.
