Hit-And-Run Driver Identified By Norwich Police: Report
Police said they have identified the driver of an SUV who struck a pedestrian and fled.

NORWICH, CT - Police said they have identified the driver of an SUV who struck a pedestrian and fled, the New London Day reported. The incident occurred Sunday night in the area of 275 Washington Street, police said.
Police said the pedestrian was transported to the William W. Backus Hospital as a result of his injuries, according to the New London Day. Numerous subsequent callers to the department's dispatch center described the vehicle as a newer style silver Jeep Grand Cherokee. (To sign up for Norwich breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
Police said an anonymous tip allowed them to later locate the SUV and identify a suspect, however the name of the suspect has not yet been released, the New London Day reported. Anyone with information is asked to contact police immediately.
