Man Charged with Sexual Assault of Woman in Norwich Woods: Report
The investigation stemmed from reports of a 24-year old woman being choked and sexually assaulted.
NORWICH, CT – A New London man was charged with sexual assault Friday for an incident in Norwich, the Norwich Bulletin reported.
Christopher Chmielecki, 26, was arrested at his home Friday, according to the Norwich Bulletin. The arrest came after Norwich Police linked him with an Aug. 23 sexual assault incident.
The investigation stemmed from reports of a 24-year old woman being choked and sexually assaulted by a man in the woods near Hamilton Avenue, according to The Day. Chmielecki was charged with sexual assault and is due to appear in court Sept. 19.
