Man Sentenced for Life-Threatening Stabbing in Norwich: Report
Police said a Norwich man has been sentenced for a life-threatening stabbing that occurred almost two years ago.

NORWICH, CT - Police said a Norwich man has been sentenced for a life-threatening stabbing that occurred almost two years ago, the New London Day reported. The suspect has been found guilty of stabbing a relative of his children's mother.
Joseph F. Brown was sentenced this week to four years in prison for stabbing an unidentified man, according to the New London Day. Brown claimed he had blacked out from drinking during the incident and pleaded guilty under the Alford Doctrine. (To sign up for Norwich breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
Police said the victim suffered a stab wound to his right upper leg that doctors said just missed his femoral artery, the New London Day reported. Immediate surgery, blood transfusions and other procedures were required for an additional stab wound to his upper torso that punctured his liver.
