Norwich Firefighters Contain Apartment Fire
Fire officials said smoke was visible from the second floor rear of the building.

NORWICH, CT – Firefighters were able to extinguish a fire on the second floor of an apartment building Thursday.
The department said on Facebook firefighters were dispatched to 321 Main Street, known as the Alice Building, for a reported structure fire. Smoke was visible from the second floor rear of the building.
Firefighters forced entry into the apartment, and found after a brief search that the fire was contained to the kitchen. All second and third floors occupants were subsequently cleared from the building.

The Norwich Fire Marshal's Office and police are currently investigating the situation.
