Norwich Golf Course Authority Looking into Creating Onsite Water Irrigation System
The authority hopes to get the course off of the city's water system.

NORWICH, CT – The Golf Course Authority is looking into taking the Norwich Golf Course off the city’s water system, The Day reported.
The authority is exploring the feasibility of creating an onsite water irrigation system, The Day reported. Over the past year, the course has used 23.8 million gallons of water at the cost of $101,938.
The authority received city council approval to apply for permits and drill irrigation wells on property located at the Montville border, according to The Day. They hope to create a 1.7 acre, 6-million-gallon irrigation pond.
