Norwich Man Accused Of Assaulting Prison Guard: CT State Police
The guard sustained injuries in the attack.

NORWICH, CT — An incarcerated Norwich man was arrested on a charge of first-degree assault on a corrections employee following an attack on a prison guard on March 2, according to Connecticut State Police.
Jachim Lamar Brown, an inmate at the Corrigan Correctional Institute in Uncasville, injured the guard in the alleged attack, requiring the guard to be treated at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich.
Details of the circumstances surrounding the attack were not disclosed, but Brown was transfered to Northern Correctional Institute in Somers pending trial.

His bail was set at $75,000, and he is scheduled to appear in Norwich Superior Court on March 29.
