Norwich Man Accused of Producing Fake City, State Checks Arraigned in Court

NORWICH, CT – A local man was arraigned in court Monday on accusations of using fake checks to produce thousands of dollars, The Day reported.
Herrick Louis, 30, was charged by state police on July 6 on charges of gaining thousands of dollars in fake checks from state and municipal agencies, according to The Day. Louis then allegedly recruited people to deposit them into their bank accounts.
Louis is currently free on surety bonds totaling $100,000, The Day reported. His case was continued to Spet. 20.
