(Kunstraum) Dada Post was an artist-run organization, founded in January 2008, by Howard McCalebb in Berlin, Germany. In 2022 Mr. McCalebb moved to Norwich, Connecticut, and establish the art gallery Dada Post USA. Mr. McCalebb is a sculptor and active figure on the international art scene. Dada Post USA is an autonomous space for the production, display and discussion of current art. Foremost, we contemplate artistic expression from the standpoint of pure inspiration emanating from the source – the artist. We are keenly interested in the effects of Globalization on art practice, and the notion of a hybridized Post Modern art practice. As a contemporary art space, Dada Post USA is primarily concerned with artwork that is the most current, reflecting the actual meaning of the term: Contemporary Art. We offer a program of exhibitions and events, featuring videos, poetry/literary readings, music and other live performances, during and between art exhibitions. The original inspiration for both (Kunstraum) Dada Post and Dada Post USA was the Cabaret Voltaire in Zürich, Switzerland and Andy Warhol’s Factory in New York City – which were open venues for impromptu gatherings, events, and artistic experimentation. LEDYARD, CT - Police said they arrested a Norwich man over the weekend after his vehicle spun out and crossed into the wrong lane of the road. The incident occurred Saturday morning in Ledyard, police said. Officers said they observed a vehicle spin out in the center of the westbound travel lanes of Route 2, then cross over the double yellow center line. The vehicle nearly collided with the cement barriers on the shoulder of the eastbound travel lanes, police said. Police said officers were able to get behind the vehicle and stop the vehicle. The driver was identified as Byron T. Gomez-Rodriguez, 30, of Norwich.
