Norwich Police Aid in Narcotics Task Force Arrest, Seize Gun and Narcotics
The arrest was a combined effort on a number of a number of different departments.

NEW LONDON, CT - State police detectives and other officers arrested two men, and seized narcotics and a handgun.
Detectives worked with police officers assigned to the Statewide Narcotics Task Force - East office, the New London Police Department, and the Norwich Police Department. The Statewide Narcotics Task Force - East office is comprised of police officers from Groton City Police Department, New London Police Department, Norwich Police Department, and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), as well as detectives from the State Police,.
Officers arrested Christian Santos, 27, on 10 charges and Giovanni Camacho, 26, on 5 charges. Both are scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.

The Statewide Narcotics Task Force (SNTF), New London Police Department, and Norwich Police Department served multiple arrest warrants for the sale of narcotics and criminal possession of a firearm on Tuesday. According to a post on the State Police Facebook page, the move followed a vehicle pursuit through the streets of New London late that morning.
Police said Santos fled from detectives in his vehicle and refused to stop after they attempted to serve his arrest warrant. He eventually pulled his vehicle over and surrendered to New London police officers, after which he was transported to the New London Police Department

Information from Santos’ arrest led to the search of a residence in Norwich, where a .45 Caliber handgun was located.
Camacho, who is also the brother of Santos, later arrived while officers were still present. He was found with crack cocaine, marijuana, narcotic opioid prescription pills, and approximately $2,000.00 in cash.
Camacho had also arrived on a motorcycle with a license plate that belonged to another motorcycle. The bike was uninsured.
Camacho was then transported Montville where he was fingerprinted, photographed and held on bond pending his court date.
