Norwich Police Arrest Suspect in Gas Station Beating that Caused Traumatic Injuries

The man is suspected in connection to an incident that occurred at the Ravi Mart gas station.

NORWICH, CT – Police have arrested several suspects in a gas station beating that left the victim with traumatic injuries, The Day reported.

Wellington Griffin, 36, is suspected in connection to an incident that occurred at the Ravi Mart gas station on Central Avenue in May, according to The Day. Police said a man was found at the scene on the ground with swelling of the head and multiple facial lacerations.

The victim was later identified to have a traumatic brain injury and a collapsed lung, The Day reported. Witnesses told police at the time of the incident multiple people had run from the scene on foot, and an SUV had been seen driving away.
