• Norwich Man Killed After Car Crashes Into Trees, Catches Fire In Voluntown (patch.com) — A Norwich resident was killed when his car left Route 138 in Voluntown, struck several trees, and caught fire Sunday evening, despite rescue efforts from an off-duty firefighter. State police are still investigating and are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact Trooper Christopher Brett at the Montville barracks.
