Norwich and East Great Plain firefighters stabilized the vehicle, cut off the driver's door with hydraulic tools, and used a ladder to safely extricate the motorist, who was taken to a hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Police: 68-year-old man accused of grabbing, forcefully kissing teen girl at bus stop in Norwich (courant.com) — Norwich police say a 68-year-old man was arrested after a 14-year-old girl reported he grabbed and forcefully kissed her at a Boswell Avenue bus stop Friday afternoon. Officers quickly located the suspect, who now faces several charges and a $150,000 bond, with arraignment scheduled at Norwich Superior Court on Tuesday.

3. A new VR exhibition about the Titanic offers a chance to experience the ship in person. (forumdaily.com) — A high-tech Titanic exhibition is coming to Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, just a short trip from Norwich, offering residents an immersive way to explore the ship's history. Opening in November, it will feature more than 100 artifacts, full-scale reconstructions, and VR and AR experiences that re-create life aboard the liner and its final voyage.

Teacher Residencies Boosted By $4.2M (newhavenindependent.org) — Norwich schools are among five districts hosting full-year, tuition-supported teacher residents through a newly expanded $4.2 million state college initiative. The program aims to better prepare future teachers and keep them in Connecticut classrooms, with Eastern Connecticut State University already placing candidates locally while the system builds a coordinated residency network by 2029.
