• Man shot in parking lot of fast food restaurant in Norwich (nbcconnecticut.com) — Police say a man was shot in the parking lot of the Burger King on Salem Turnpike in Norwich Sunday evening, then taken to Backus Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators believe the shooting was targeted and see no ongoing threat to the public, but they're asking anyone with information to contact Detective Cornelius Carmody or the anonymous tip line.
