• CT flash flooding hits shoreline after 5 to 6 inches of rain (darientimes.com) — Old Saybrook saw Elm Street at the railroad overpass closed for high water and reports of low-hanging wires, with officials urging extra caution, especially on Bokum Road. Heavy rain dumped 5 to 6 inches along the shoreline, flooding I-95, Route 1, and local streets in Westport, Norwalk, Fairfield, Bridgeport, and Greenwich, prompting rescues, road closures, and event cancellations.
