Cuckoo's Nest

The Old Saybrook Police Department will host a Tip-A-Cop event Wednesday, September 16 from 5-8 p.m. at Cuckoo’s Nest at 1712 Boston Post Rd., Old Saybrook, to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut. During the event, law enforcement officers volunteer their time to work with restaurant employees to welcome customers, take orders, and serve meals to diners.
All tips received are dedicated to helping Special Olympics Connecticut provide life-changing sports, health, and fitness programs to athletes of all abilities. Goodwin School, 80 Old Boston Post Road, Old Saybrook, CT 06475, on Sunday, 10 October 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. At this event, experienced electric vehicle (EV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) owners will show their cars and share how they drive and charge their vehicles. Antonin Dvorak’s beloved Rusalka, based on slavic folklore and Hans Christian Anderson’s 1837 fairy tale, The Little Mermaid, appears on the Salt Marsh Opera stage this October for the first time ever!
This is the tragic story about a water nymph who sacrifices her voice to a witch, Jezibaba, to become human and marry a prince. After he rejects her for a foreign princess, she becomes a cursed sprite, ultimately killing the Prince with a fatal kiss.
Beautiful staging, costumes, a full orchestra and more will submerge you in this classic and timeless story.
